About Us

Overview of Our School

TRIMULIA Christian School was established on July 1, 1972. The establishment of this school began in early 1972 with the initiative of Rev. Caleb Tong. The purpose of establishing this school was to answer the need for education for the Chinese community after the closure of Chinese-language schools in 1966. On March 4, 1972, a School Establishment Committee was formed consisting of 15 members from the Assembly and the general congregation.

The first school established under the auspices of TRIMULIA Christian School was Kindergarten and Elementary School, with the first Principal being Ev. Dorothy Tong, along with several teaching staff. The first location of TRIMULIA Christian School was on the ground floor of the GII Hok Im Tong Church building on Jalan Gardujati 51 before there was an expansion and addition of an educational building at the front. The opening of the first teaching and learning activities (KBM) of TRIMULIA Christian School was carried out on July 3, 1972 at 07.30. The levels of education available at that time were Kindergarten-A, Kindergarten-B, and grade 1 of Elementary School, with a total of 80 students.

God’s grace is truly great for this school. The number of students increased from year to year. In addition to the existing rooms, the lower hall of the church was also partitioned into classrooms. However, gradually, the church building could no longer accommodate the increasing number of students. In 1978, the location of the SDK was moved to Jalan Kebonjati No. 145 with the acting principal at that time being Mrs. Lina Santoso. The location of the Kindergarten was then moved to Jalan Jendral Sudirman No. 208 in 1982 because the previous location could not accommodate the increasing number of students.

Vision

To become a leading Christian educational institution that prioritizes Faith, Integrity, and Knowledge.

Mission

Providing education founded on a Christian worldview that is Holistic, Integrative, and Transformative.

TRIMULIA School continued to grow, so that when the first batch of students started entering grade 6 of elementary school, the Foundation began to think about the next level of education, namely SMPK. Finally, in 1978, Ev. Hanna Tjahya (who is now a pastor) was appointed to pioneer SMPK. The initial location of SMPK was shared with SDK TRIMULIA at Jalan Kebonjati No. 145. SMAK Trimulia was established in 1980 at Jalan Gardujati No. 51 with Mrs. Ing Uria, SH as the Head of SMPK and Mrs. Ev. Hanna Tjahya as the Head of SMA. The Foundation then looked for new land that was wider and suitable for teaching and learning activities for SMPK and SMAK students. In 1988, the location of SMPK and SMAK TRIMULIA was moved to Jalan Dr. Djunjunan No. 105 until now.
